Imprim’Vert
Also called Imprim’Vert label
A French label awarded to printing works that commit to environmental management: proper disposal of hazardous waste, secure storage of chemicals, phasing out toxic products, monitoring energy use.
In practice
The label covers the plant, not the paper: a book can leave an Imprim’Vert printer on paper with no certification at all. For the paper, ask for FSC or PEFC. And to print an FSC logo in the book, the printer must be certified itself: check before stating anything in the imprint.
